Horoscopes for the Week of Dec. 6th – 12th (2)

After being in retrograde motion since July 1, 2017 Chiron has officially moved into direct motion – as of yesterday.

Initially Chiron dipped his toe into the sign of Pisces on April 20, 2010. He retrograded back into Aquarius for awhile before officially deciding he would stay in Pisces for the long haul – April 20th, 2010 through February 2019.

(In April of 2018 he begins to test the waters with a move into the sign of Aries.)

The main point is that we’re on the home stretch of the wounded healer’s eight year trek through the sign of Pisces. Collective healing and reconnection has been the theme for the past seven years.

On April 20th, 2010 when Chiron first entered the sign of Pisces, the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig exploded, killing 11 people and causing the rig to sink. A massive oil spill into the Gulf of Mexico created an environmental disaster with far reaching, long lasting, consequences.

It’s impossible to affect a change in a “part of the whole” without affecting the entire whole. Despite previous collective illusions about the way the world works, since Chiron entered the sign of Pisces interconnectedness has been highlighted, emphasized, and validated in a variety of ways.

Chiron in Pisces challenged you to save yourself by healing the separation that existed between you and your spiritual source. Chances are since April of 2010 you had to navigate your way through some significant loss, powerlessness, a life-threatening illness, unexpected defeat, massive confusion, overwhelming forces aligned against you, a dark night of the soul (depression) accompanied by grinding sense of loneliness, death, destruction, etc.

Pisces method is to bring you to your knees by arranging for all your usual tricks to fail so you have no choice but to turn inward in the direction of your spiritual connection.

As Chiron turns direct we begin to witness some advancement and evidence of healing progress. Light seeps through clarifying the outlines of what’s real. Artistic output is energized and inspired. And now, because Jupiter in Scorpio rules the sign of Pisces, the pace of exposure of all things dark and nefarious picks up. A massive detoxification/healing process that elevates awareness speeds to the finish line.

Jupiter in Scorpio rules the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Saturn, and Neptune this week. For now he’s the linchpin around which a powerful concentration of energy turns.

Jupiter is expansive. Scorpio has an obsessive desire to navigate through the dark underworld. What’s exposed will probably not be for the faint of heart. Jupiter has a hand in detoxifying everything from deeply personal decisions to the elite groups wielding massive global power.

On Saturday Mars, the aggressor, leaves the peace loving sign of Libra, to join forces with Jupiter in the sign of Scorpio. This is not good news if your trying to keep a secret or to keep a simmering situation from exploding into chaos.

It is great news if you want to know the truth or to wield your magical healing powers in a targeted, healing direction. The bigger your “healing project” the better. Personal efforts to revitalize yourself ad your life have far reaching consequences.

Mercury in the future-oriented sign of Sagittarius is in the midst of its retrograde/reconsideration phase. Mercury is part of a gang of five Sagittarius placements all concentrated for you in one specific realm of life experience. You can probably guess what that is.

Jupiter trines Neptune all week. Pay attention to your intuition. It’s likely to be uncannily accurate.

By the weekend Venus collides with Neptune. A relationship disappointment may be indicated. Something you hoped was true may not be. In the bigger scheme more accusations of the abuse of women may surface. A positive use of the energy would be cultivating a highly inspired artistic creation, or acting to uplift and show compassion to someone who doesn’t make that especially easy.

There’s a lot going on as the planets align for a profound shift toward Capricorn and his earthy requirements about two weeks from now. Between Dec.22nd and January 12th we become increasingly focused on achieving something challenging that requires having our feet firmly planted on the ground.

Have a great week and thanks for reading.

ARIES (March 21-April 21)
Mars moves to join Jupiter in Scorpio in your 8th house. However deeply into the underworld you’ve been willing to go to undo your old “conditioned responses” chances are this week you’ll be compelled to go deeper. You may be simply going through the motions and scratching the surface compared to what’s actually required for you to secure some lasting emotional freedom. You’ve come to the end of the road dealing with yourself as a partner within a relationship, focusing on partners, blaming partners, etc. Now it’s time to deal with the relationship you have with yourself and to acknowledge how it continues to reflect the nature of all your relationships. Jupiter trines Neptune this week. You actually have fairly easy access to critical pieces of the puzzle that seem lost in the underworld. A form of magical healing where guides and ghosts from the past step in to direct you toward information you need seems most effective. But you have to believe, and you have to be willing to ask the hard questions, and to listen, with an open heart, to the answers you’re given. You might want to rely on your own intuition and you might want to seek the advice of an intuitive healer/psychic/shaman/magician – whatever feels right.

TAURUS (April 21-May 21)
Taurus is about to finish a phase of “completing himself.” It’s not the last phase you will go through with this objective in mind, but this is an important one. You’re now capable of feeling comfortable with or without a partner. The question is do you want one. It’s a luxury you’ve earned to be able to ask that question. For most the need for a partner to serve as our “other half” feels not mandatory. This week you may be able to take an honest look at a partner and assess where you stand. It might be a tough conversation you have with yourself particularly if you’ve sugar coated the darker or weaker impulses of someone you now or once felt comfortable with. Conflicts may arise with a change of circumstances, living arrangements, separations, or new freedoms. This is an opportunity for you begin to notice that you have developed in and of yourself into a force to be reckoned with. Taurus hates change but you may sense that it’s time.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21)
Gemini continues to mull over changes to their approach to the world, specifically their approach to the public, to a partner maybe, and to themselves. Honesty is first and foremost. An effective, powerful presentation of yourself is always the honest one. Honesty is supercharged this week – so super-charged that it may be painful to accept something that feels “too true.” Ernest Hemingway advises writers to start their story with the truest sentence they know – something that is factually – and in every other way – true. That’s the best place to start. Write the truest sentence you know about yourself and proceed from there to make the adjustments you need to make. Mars takes you to a deeper level and guides you in the direction you need to go. A deep truth about your relationship to work and the ability to infuse it with joy seems fundamental. Navigating the underworld with joy is a trick you might need to master. Releasing yourself from whatever stands in the way of you and joy is important.

CANCER (June 21-July 21)
You’re at the end of a phase of mastering your fear of uprooting or changing the most fundamental, foundational, aspects of your life. A love or lover (a child maybe) may be intricately involved in your quest to leave the past behind for the purpose of creatively empowering yourself. Creating a life more abundantly infused with joy may be part of this picture. But trusting yourself may be an issue. By Saturday you may need to address issues of trust that are uncomfortable. Sex. death, taxes, and underhanded maneuvers entangled with romantic love, and mistrust are not for the faint of heart. But in a way you’re at your best dealing with these dark complications. Life needs to be edgy for you, especially if you want to activate your creative genius. Mystery and a hint of danger (or edginess) may define solutions you create or the kind of art you design. On the other hand creating a life you love involves tricky maneuvers that you were actually born to execute. You can trust that.

LEO (July 21-Aug 21)
Leo is approaching the end of a learning experience that involves the nature of your relationship to work, love, and the ability to create a life that feels uplifting and worth living. You may be seeing more clearly the error of your ways, feeling the strain of a 3 year struggle on your health, some exhaustion, and the need for change. Fear rooted in the past may be associated with lightening-up, finding time to relax and enjoy yourself, and giving those who love you the time and attention they deserve. Heavy responsibility and fear may have dominated the scene since Dec of 2014. But you’ve taken this as far as it can go – and maybe a bit too far. Helpful would be to find the source of your fear. Fathers are always implicated whenever Saturn is involved, as it now is. You have a couple more weeks to raise your level of awareness where your relationship with work and responsibility is involved. Something must be resolved and brought into balance for you to create a sustainable, uplifting way of life. Remember: Leos are the one’s who remind the rest of us how much fun it is to be alive. That is ultimately is your primary responsibility.

VIRGO (August 21-Sep 21)
Virgo may be in the process of rethinking the past and the nature of a foundation they built. Something that once seemed on the surface to be workable may no longer be. Something truthful needs to be said either to yourself or another about the nature of living arrangements, family relationships, and your professional life. It appears you are in the midst of a reconsideration or some future planning process that might undermine previous assumptions about how your future would unfold. You are at the end of a long road you’ve been traveling since December of 2014. In some regard you’re preparing to achieve the freedom you need to accomplish something in the creative world (or within the world of romantic love) that has previously seemed too ambitious or impossible. What seems to be needed is the clarification that comes from asking yourself harder questions about what ultimately would feel most satisfying to you. Admitting what it is you truly desire, refusing to settle for less, and being determined to find a way seems important this week.

LIBRA (September 21-October 21)
Mars moves from your 1st house of courageous, maybe anger-fueled action, into the 2nd house where harmonizing with some deep rage or primal sexual instinct may be used to fuel a “work of art.” But maybe you just need to be honest and to say what needs to be said. There appears to be some truth to the notion that others are evading their responsibility as you’re “required” to pleasantly endure the fallout or pick up the slack. It may be time to speak in more powerful, direct terms, to expose those who seem to underestimate your true worth and value, and waste your time. Your worth and value is the core issue. As Mars activates Jupiter in Scorpio in your second house it may be time to assess whether you’re the one who’s underestimating or diminishing your own value. Even it seems worth the money you may receive in exchange for being treated in an undignified way and doing a good job, it’s probably not worth the hit to your self-esteem. Chances are that “exchange” impacts every area of your life. There is an opportunity to turn this around. The conversation you most need to have is a ruthlessly honest one with yourself.

SCORPIO (October 21 – November 21)
You are approaching the end of a period of confusion, uncertainty, indecision, exhaustion, and the feeling that you’re a little lost especially when it comes to deciding what it is you truly desire. That may feel unfair in some way. But you’re about to escape into the light where things will become clearer – but also potentially more complicated. Being truthful or having to listen to (or accept) something brutally honest directed toward you might feel painful. The key is to stop diminishing your true worth and value and maybe to stop diminishing or questioning the worth and value of another. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect even if they’ve been indecisive or evasive for awhile. Everyone deserves to know the truth particularly if their future hangs in the balance. Scorpios possesses the power to crush or to bring another back to life. You may be the one who needs to be brought back to life. The truth will make it all less complicated and more compassionate than it might otherwise be.

SAGITTARIUS (November 21- December 21)
Sagittarius is on the verge of having to manifest some of the bigger, better, ideas they’ve had since Dec of 2014. Being an intuitive sign capable of feeling the “shape of things to come,” you may already be backtracking, wondering if it’s all too ambitious, maybe impossible, too much work, and ultimately maybe not worth it. You may be using your partner’s skepticism, or some “on again off again” support from others (or lack of it) to sidetrack you. It seems there is something more to consider – maybe timelines, a more complete picture, more actual facts, or an organized plan. But maybe it’s something more intangible like what it is exactly that you truly desire. Paradoxically I suspect you’ll get more confused during a process that’s cosmically designed to make it easier for you to clarify. From Dec. 9th – January 27th your dream life kicks into high gear. Guides, mysterious strangers, and synchronous events conspire to help you know specifically what it is you crave – and probably always have. I predict by the end of January you’ll know what you desire – and feel less conflicted about “going for it” with characteristic Sagittarian enthusiasm and self-assurance.

CAPRICORN (December 21-January 21)
Your approaching the end of what started as a fairly uncomfortable “foreign journey” that took you to places you’d tried to forget and introduced you to parts of yourself you didn’t know existed. Sometimes it wasn’t all that pretty but most likely “the ugly” was outweighed by something profoundly beautiful, hopeful, and life sustaining. You may be on the verge of coming back to life in a way you’ve never really known before. Chances are you’ve had some help along the way from a friend or lover who saw within you something you could not see – and loved it. There may be some reconsideration of a collective ideal you’re trying to manifest or a socially responsible leadership role you’ve taken on – something that’s uncertain, fraught with landmines, secret enemies maybe, and your own fear of failure. You’re about to enter into familiar territory as five planets progress into the sign of Capricorn super charging your determination and will to succeed. I wouldn’t bet against you ever – but particularly not now. It appears you’re on the right side of history with all parts of you fully engaged.

AQUARIUS (January 21-February 21)
Aquarius is on the verge of some kind of deconstruction – the elimination of elements you’ve outgrown in the past and dissolution of structures that once supported you, but now seem to block your way. Aquarians, being somewhat detached, theoretically would have an easier time “letting go” than most. We’ll see. Aquarius is a fixed sign so they’re not thrilled with change. With the upcoming cleaning, clearing, de-cluttering effects, Aquarius will begin to have more access to spiritual guidance, magical power, intuitive insights, and secret knowledge broadcasted from other realms. To the extent you can arrange for a leadership role within the artistic, spiritual, “compassionate service” realm, you may barely notice what’s crumbling around you. Aquarians can focus intently for long periods of time on whatever interests them most. Research would be another avenue conducive to the energy that will soon be readily available to you. Don’t waste your time holding onto the past. It’s about over. Your future path looks more exciting than anything you’ll have to leave behind.

PISCES (February 21-March 21)
There is evidence of some deep angst surrounding the future – plans that sound good but may not feel exactly right. What you may be searching for is a more intense experience of life. And you may not have hit on exactly where or what that might be. Old psychological conditioning may dissuade you from admitting what it is you truly desire. Sex, death, taxes, and a lack of trust in your ability to know what you desire – or how to go after it – may be part of the problem. You’re at the end of a transformational phase that began on October 22nd. Believe it or not your inner emotional structure has changed a lot since then – more than the short time frame would suggest. You’re capable of a future that encompasses more than it did a couple months ago when you assumed you knew how it would all play out. Mercury retrograde is allowing time to reconsider your old plans and to lay the groundwork for something edgier and maybe sexier? I’m not sure what that means but you might know. Spending time envisioning a future you could love is time well spent.
