Pisces Full Moon Sep. 6th

(Mosaic Art – ??)

(Pisces Full Moon Sep 6th at 13 Degrees of Pisces 58′ – 12:30 AM PDT & 3:30 AM EDT)

The watery sign of Pisces is typically associated with confusion, an inability to grasp the obvious, moving through life under the spell of an illusion, or “going through the motions” with no meaningful inner connection.

It’s also associated with spiritual attunement, psychic sensitivity, empathy, and overwhelming compassion.

Pisces is oceanic. Navigating through her “world without boundaries” feels foreign, mysterious, and remote while simultaneously strangely familiar. From her depths arises secret information, lost memories, and a piece of yourself you long to connect with. Under a Pisces full Moon the world is ripe for revelations, seeing through the obscurity of darkness and things that are just too obvious to notice.

In 2005, David Foster Wallace addressed the graduating class at Kenyon College. He began with a parable:

“There are these two young fish swimming along, and they happen to meet an older fish swimming the other way, who nods at them and says, “Morning, boys. How’s the water?” And the two young fish swim on for a bit, and then eventually one of them looks over at the other and goes, “What the hell is water?”

Typically the most important realities are the ones hardest to see. David Foster continues;

The capital-T Truth is about life BEFORE death. It is about the real value of a real education, which has almost nothing to do with knowledge, and everything to do with simple awareness; awareness of what is so real and essential, so hidden in plain sight all around us, all the time, that we have to keep reminding ourselves over and over: This is water. This is water.”

The message of this eclipse involves the insidious process of being caught up in an illusion. Many times it’s an illusion that the collective shares. We get lots of feedback from others sharing the same distorted premise that we’re on the right track when we’re on the wrong track. Collective illusions are especially stubborn. But Pisces reigns over personal illusions as well

On March 9th, 2016 we received a level of energy that might have stimulated a breakthrough into the realm of truth. It came in the form of a Pisces Solar Eclipse. A change in our level of awareness allowed for an inner reconnection with “something remote but strangely familiar” – a missing piece of the puzzle that revealed the most authentic role we can play in the scheme of the universe.

It may have been a brief glimpse of the magnitude of your potential. The theme and substance of what that was changed your perspective. A blockage disappeared or a blind spot was removed. This may have come in the form of a sudden “aha” moment, a subtle dawning realization, a synchronous event, an opportunity that felt “heaven sent,” or the beginning of an emergence from depression, darkness, or frustration.

A shift into knowing the fullness of your potential may have initially felt great. But for some it was quickly followed by fear, anxiety or dread when you realized your life was not arranged to accommodate your newly clarified purpose.

On a scale from very subtle to earth-shattering the March 2016 Solar eclipse was life changing. For many of us it signaled the beginning of the end of a familiar way of life.

In March of 2016 I wrote the following:

“There is the option to feel yourself overwhelmed as the tide sweeps you away. There is also the option to feel thrilled and hopeful as you catch a wave capable of delivering you into a life that aligns with your dreams. Synchronous events, the right teachers, and a powerful infusion of magic coalesce to clarify how the “unwitting masterpiece” that is your past can now serve your future.”

The message then was to soften, to go with the flow, to be pliable enough to shape shift ourselves into some mysteriously developing momentum that would put the pieces in place.

The requirements now appear to be more immediate.

Today’s Pisces full Moon chart is the follow-up to the above mentioned Solar eclipse. Now it’s time for action. If rearrangements are needed it’s time to take some concrete steps to put those in motion.

In today’s full Moon chart, Mars – the planet of action – falls in the practical sign of Virgo at the very critical and powerful 0 degree mark. It’s time to clearly define your direction, to make specific plans, to narrow your focus, simplify, set a timeline, and get to work.

The Sabian Symbol for this full Moon is the following:
“Claiming to have Inside Information, A Sexy Lady in a Fox Stole Leads a Reporter to her House”

The woman here appears to be following up on intuitive glimpses of exciting new possibilities. She’s taking action, “faking it till she makes it” maybe, using charm and sexual persuasion to open doors and make the the needed connections, revealing something provocative and previously unknown, creating opportunities to promote an idea whose time has come, zeroing in on a target, and taking determined action.

Thomas Kuhn, the man who wrote “The Structure of Scientific Revolutions” and is especially relevant because Uranus (the enlightener) in his natal chart falls on the exact degree of the current full Moon – has this to say:

“Almost always the men who achieve these fundamental inventions of a new paradigm have been either very young or very new to the field whose paradigm they change. And perhaps that point need not have been made explicit, for obviously these are the men who, being little committed by prior practice to the traditional rules of normal science, are particularly likely to see that those rules no longer define a playable game and to conceive another set that can replace them.”

So if you think you don’t know enough, or haven’t had enough experience, or must have misinterpreted your destined role, that all seems invalid (or unenlightened) and not to be used as an excuse for further delay.

Pallas at 14 degrees of Taurus suggests the possibility of tapping into an unusual talent or potency and playing with it to discover its potential. This may actually involve tapping into the primitive, subconsconcious wisdom of the psyche. It’s power centers around moving people forward and beyond their current frame of reference. It alludes to some kind of influence passed down to you from your father.

Mercury, the ruler of Mars and the messenger of the full Moon chart is placed at 28 degrees of Leo within the configuration of a grand trine with Saturn and Uranus. It essentially doesn’t get much more creative and innovative than that.

Because Uranus is intricately involved in this grand trine chances are your true role in the world may be a ground-breaking one. As such it invites resistance especially by those wedded to the status quo. Time to activate your inner rebel and to proceed unfazed.

Jupiter and Ceres form a tight square (challenge). This suggests having the courage to expand into creative realms that prove to be endlessly nourishing and supportive not only for you but for humanity in general. Sharing your beliefs with a simplistic kind of honesty – one that speaks to the heart – attracts the attention of the masses and moves humanity forward.
