Two potentially explosive planets, Uranus and Mars, clash in a major way today, tomorrow and into Friday. Unpredictable outcomes can be expected. The best way to deal with this aspect is to deliberately summon the courage to make a much needed breakthrough, to free yourself from something oppressive, and to take some different kind of action to actively confront what’s become toxic and undermining in your life. This aspect, traditionally frightening when anticipated in advance, can be the gift that allows you to undo years of destructive sameness in a second. A prudent warning is be especially attentive when driving, operating machinery, or working on any project that requires concentration and safety considerations. Expect the unexpected.
Venus is highlighted as she moves into alignment with Saturn today, tomorrow, and into Friday. Realism invades any illusions we may be nurturing in relationships. There is some powerful shift in the direction of balancing power in some specific area of life. Women, expressions of feminine power, art, and receptivity may moderate, in some way, lopsided commitments, age old bigotry, toxic stagnation, and traditional violent approaches to life.
Late Saturday on the West Coast and early Sunday on the East Coast, Neptune changes from retrograde motion, it’s direction since the beginning of June, into direct motion. If you have used your heightened sensitivity during Neptune’s retrograde phase to correct situations that felt damaging and wrong, then Neptune’s direct motion will provide tangible evidence of improvement. If not, circumstances will noticeably deteriorate during Neptune’s direct phase and dissatisfaction will intensify.
On Sunday Venus leaves the heavily weighted water sign of Scorpio, entering the more expansive and fiery sign of Sagittarius. Optimism may be restored within relationships, our sense of humor returns, we feel freer to expand within relationships, more restless, and may get the urge to travel into foreign territory, figuratively or actually.

San Juan Capistrano,
This week Aries, the most courageous sign of the Zodiac, must confront the amazing power of Uranus – the lightening rod capable of destroying limiting structures and toxic stagnation in a split second. Left may be nothing but devastation and the strange feeling of freedom that accompanies it. To the extent we can control this energy, there is an easy way and a hard way to experience it. One option may be to courageously express your authority to rebalance relationships, to reign in impulsiveness, lawlessness, or imbalances of power and control, within yourself or within another. With precision and strength, masked as charm and acquiescence, you may now be able to break through ongoing circumstances that have become suffocating, toxic, and “life-threatening” on some level. Another option is to pretend that tensions beneath the surface can be indefinitely contained and to be caught completely off guard when they finally do erupt. You do have a choice.
This week Taurus sets the tone in relationships for the next 13 months. You desire to be in charge on the home front, (or professionally), to take the lead, and to have your authority respected. You may need teamwork, for others to recognize your leadership role, and for them to cooperate with your objectives. This is where things can get complicated. There may be challenges to your authority, the need to “one-up” each other, to be smarter, and to compete against rather than cooperate. At every turn your authority may be questioned bringing you face to face with how limited you are in getting where you want to be. How to turn competitiveness and an “every man for himself” attitude into something more cooperative is the question. It may be time to closely examine your style and approach and to enact some change. Be especially sensitive to any situation where you may feel superior, imperious, entitled, and as if you “know it all.” It can make your life unnecessarily difficult at a time when ease is trying to emerge.
This is a week when it may be time to rekindle dreams that have gotten lost in the midst of everyday responsibilities, or that got put on the back burner as you focused on helping another achieve his dreams at the expense of your own. There is some blockage preventing progress in the direction of what it is you most desire. The problem may reside within complicated, energy-draining relationships that require deft handling, and careful maneuvering, especially recently. It may be time to reorder priorities, or to simply sit back and take a break, removing yourself from demanding environments, giving yourself time to re-energize, re-align, and remember what goals you set for yourself awhile ago. Bringing yourself “back home” to yourself is the most advantageous thing you can do this week. Rebalancing relationships in ways that allow more space for you and your dreams, as well as contact with encouraging old friends can get you back on track, making progress toward what it is you most desire.
This week Leo may struggle with the downside of being a Leo. In an attempt to be all things to all people, to make the best possible impression, to pursue a goal for too long with no breaks, and to be dazzling and delightful, Leo has come to a point where reality needs to be taken into consideration. The intensity of your creative energy now is extremely high, and it may be difficult to control. If you find yourself receiving a “wake up call” in the form of feeling irritable and disconnected, or anxious and fearful, it may be time to clear whatever stands in the way of you being able to express your most natural self. Your relationships may be suffering. Others may be the victim of your stubborn, overbearing, righteous, or even tyrannical ways. Or those attitudes may be aimed toward you. Either way it’s time to get back to basics, to a schedule that reflects a warmer, more nurturing, and healing approach to yourself. It’s time to adjust your priorities. You will feel supported in the ways that matter most this week if you make even small changes.
This week Virgo reaps the rewards or suffers the consequences of whatever actions have been taken over that past five months to heal relationships in the direction of balance. If you have taken an approach that avoided conflict at all costs, denied realities, or pushed your own concerns to the side in an effort to make peace, you may find yourself in an untenable position. If, on the other hand, you’ve made some hard decisions and a concerted effort to heal old personal wounds that habitually interfered with healthy relationships, you may find yourself experiencing some much welcomed improvement. This may be a week when you breathe a sigh of relief, after a long struggle has been resolved. You may feel like you can be yourself again in the absence of having to be on the defensive, or on your “best behavior” most of the time. You may feel like you can finally be your most natural self capable of building a life that brings you joy. And what you build may be very different from anything you’ve experienced in the past.
Life in general may feel unpredictable and there are indication that you are at a pivotal point where stability is an issue. Old attitudes and ways of being may be falling away as you continually need to adjust to the unpredictability of significant others. As Uranus and Mars clash there is a break with old traditions and limitations. Old structures that provided stability are being demolished as others, closest to you, struggle to break free. Any progress they make necessitates adjustments on your part. Flexibility and a degree of detachment is critical now as old life cycles end, new one’s begin, and the “wheel keeps turning.” As Venus aligns with Saturn it may be time to face the fact that nothing ever stays the same, no moment of pain and hardship, no moment of nirvana, and no moment of whatever lies in between. The North Node in Libra in your 1st house encourages a focus on the relationship you have with yourself and keeping it balanced through acquiescing to the flow of life.
For Scorpio, it seems that they continue to be “thrown off their game” and scattered in many directions, unable to make tangible progress toward their own specific goals. Too many options, too much unpredictability and lack of follow through, too much change, heightens nervous tension or the feeling that you may be about to explode. It is time to focus your attention on your key priorities, to move deeper into yourself, to stop addressing every distraction, and to tell yourself the truth about what you want to dismantle and what you want to build in its place. There is the need to be practical and very efficient in how you use your resources – material, mental, and emotional – to turn something you no longer need into something that will revitalize and stabilize you. Short-sightedness is a danger. Make a plan, set criteria, and refuse to be distracted this week.
In general, the month of November is a time of release and endings for Sagittarians. It is the closing of a cycle and a period of mostly subconscious activity when you are busily gestating some new and powerful idea that will soon be born. What may feel like a relief is an end to the need to prove yourself, especially where intelligence, beliefs, education, and expanding your life is an issue. It’s settled. You’re smart and accomplished, wise, tolerant, and high principled. What also may be settling, at a deep level, is your feeling about relationships, having to prove yourself in that regard on some level, and the constant fear that emerged whenever trust was required. There is some evidence that deep, hard work is now paying off, clearing the way for something brand new by Sunday. Most likely the new beginning represents a new kind of comfort within your own skin and a true appreciation for the person you are regardless of any improvements you feel are still needed.
Capricorn may be struggling to stay on top of their work and financial commitments. Life may be filled with work and worry. Juggling all of your responsibilities may seem especially challenging now. What seems most evident is the extent to which significant relationships may be suffering as a result. It is possible that your priorities have changed or become skewed and that work and finances continually take precedence over engagement with a loved one. The reality of how this situation has evolved may be settling in and it may be time to make a choice. Something needs to change. What may help is more organization, a specific plan, schedule, or budget that you follow religiously in order to free up some energy to be able to invest in what’s most important. It may be time to reconsider what’s most important and to end or rearrange old commitments if necessary. Now is not the time to commit to anything new but to manage more efficiently what it is you’re already committed to.
AQUARIUS (January 21-February 21)
As Venus aligns with Saturn, within the realm of your career and life direction, it is possible that an offer is coming your way and that you must clear some of the things that would prevent you from noticing, or being able to snap it up, before you miss out. Beneath the surface you may be brooding, low energy, and inwardly focused on the inability or failure to excel professionally – by your own standards. Or possibly you have closed your heart to someone you love and failed to express your true feelings. To put it bluntly, it may be time to get over yourself. You may begin to feel the restlessness this week and engage in something that will break you out of a rut. A change of scenery, reaching out to those who want to connect, a new focus, and a more positive mindset aligns you closer to your true self. Express what you’ve kept inside and get ready for an emerging cycle of something new and different.
PISCES (February 21-March 21)
Pisces may be on the verge of finally being able to move forward. For the past five months there has been a frustration with not being able to move on from something in the past due to old, heavy baggage, left-over fears, and some subconscious resistance. There is a level of toxicity that continues to infuse your life and, despite the fact that you’re doing your best, it seems that it remains like a hovering cloud overhead. The fact is that you may have some mixed feelings about leaving the past behind, old unresolved issues that you’ve inadvertently become attached to. It seems that your future is definitely looking brighter and you now have the opportunity to move forward. The universe seems to be saying, “time’s up.” Anything old and traumatic has the potential to be destroyed in a split second this week. Don’t try to save it. It’s over. You are in the process of a major transition and it’s all good. Start imagining the feeling of freedom now in preparation for a smoother transition toward something much better.
