This week may feel transitional as we settle into the massive planetary energy changes that have occurred over the past few days. It may take a while to get our bearings and to understand the lay of the land. We may experience the need to restructure in a way that is less structured. Am I being helpful yet??
Neptune is at the door just waiting for Saturn to strongly assert his usual demands for self-discipline, hard work, focused concentration, and a spine stiffened for the long haul. We’ve had experience with Saturn and we have the tools we need to deal with him, even though we’d prefer not to.
But Neptune’s asserting a strange and powerful dissolving influence, making us less sure of how to approach the challenges we’ll now face. It may feel like something is missing from our tool box, but we can’t even really define what it is we need. There is a disorientation of sorts as we face a landscape that feels especially alien. We may feel unprepared and “at a loss,” at least initially.
This could be good. Right off the bat it serves Saturn in Sagittarius’s purpose of eliminating self righteousness and “know-it-all” attitudes. If I had any advice at the beginning of Saturn’s trek through Sagittarius it would be to consider the possibility that you don’t know everything, that you don’t know much, or, at least under current circumstances, you don’t know what you need to know. And consider the possibility that knowledge is not exactly what you need now anyway. You may have to trust your instincts and those may be the most reliable means you have to guide you into this new phase of personal evolution.
Saturn’s gift in Sagittarius is wisdom, a priceless gift born of cumulative experience that can never be taken away.
Thank you so much for your business this year, for your referrals, your trust, your friendship, and the way you enhance the love I have for this kind of “work.” I feel very fortunate to have you in my life and hope that you will stay in touch. I’m always interested in what’s happening with you and feel like I have a stake in it, whether that’s true or not. 🙂
Thanks again and have a wonderful Holiday week!

San Juan Capistrano,
Aries may struggle this week to balance commitments with the urge to be freer and to have more fun. Commitment may have become oppressive lately. There is the need for more space. It is likely, with Saturn newly in Sagittarius, that you will be encouraged to accept responsibility for restructuring your life in a way that allows for more creative freedom, more love, and the time for you to be able to express yourself in more enlightened ways. The wisdom you will gain relates the importance of telling the truth and releasing old beliefs and perspectives that keep you unnecessarily confined. It’s time to think in terms of generosity, especially where love is involved.
Taurus may be attracting financial expansion or new hope for more happiness and freedom within established relationships. There is the realization that something must now be completely transformed regarding old beliefs about the future, family, and who you are at a very essential level. Inflexibility, the desire to hold onto the past, small perspectives, and the need to control the flow of events could make life very difficult until you realize that something bigger, and putting some distance between you and what’s always been, may actually be better. You are learning how to go with the flow, to have faith in the value of new experiences, and to use humor to keep it light.
Wealth building, power sharing, trust, and relationship consolidation may be the subjects of your intense focus at this time. There has been a shift toward a more serious consideration of the implications of committed relationships. In progress may be an assessment of what needs to be structured differently. Realizations of current limits related to truth telling, unfettered self-expression, tolerance, and good humor, may more clearly define the work you have cut out for yourself. It is likely that some beliefs about independence and relationships will need to change, some sacrifice will be necessary, and a more spacious structure within which to build relationships will be constructed.
Cancers can be really good at finding a way to make work fun. You have your work cut out for you now in an area of life that involves responsibility, health habits, financial security, and sharing the load. You may now face realities involving your health and what you will be able to accomplish on your own. Joint effort appears to be the operative concept now. Your ideas of what that might entail could be especially inventive, unusual, creative, and enlightened. Lucrative partnerships may develop over the next several months as you open your mind to new and different approaches. It is necessary to work within your limits but it not necessary to eliminate humor and fun.
There is heaviness that has crept into the area of life that is suppose to be fun, creative, and maximally enjoyable. Sex, love, and creative projects may be stalling as a result of a focus that has become too small, health that has been compromised, and burn out that leaves you tired and uncharacteristically unenthused. Saturn is now reminding you that it’s time to assert your authority where the process of creating success is the issue. Leo has the creative know-how to make the process of achieving as much fun as actually reaching the goal. It’s time for you to lead where goal achievement is an issue, or at least to more confidently assert your influence. You know a better way. It won’t be perfectly executed, but it’s time for an intense focus on developing your innate leadership talent.
The challenge for Virgo this year is to wrap things up, wind things down, and to bring an end to the things in your life that are over. What is being emphasized now is an enlivenment of your solar 12th house, the house of endings. How you end something becomes just as important as ending it. Ending things in loving ways, if at all possible is best. It you’ve had difficulty letting go in the past, Saturn will intensify your focus in this direction. You may become very impatient with living a life that no longer feels relevant and vibrant. Letting go may be difficult, but it is necessary now. The good news is that Saturn will help you know that for sure.
The North Node, your true life direction, is dynamically placed in your solar chart at the moment, and for the next several months. As you tune into the true purpose of your life, understanding what’s possible, most meaningful and important, it’s time to take decisive action, to go for it, to take some risks, to push the envelope, and to make it happen, regardless of other’s opinions or interests. Initially it could feel selfish but as you move into what it is you were born to do, the deep satisfaction overwhelms any guilt you may initially feel. This year you have the focus and self-discipline to arrange a routine, to construct a mindset, and to set strategic goals that will manifest in greater power and your true life calling. It’s time to dive in and do it.
Saturn’s movement into your sign is especially significant for your development. Sagittarians are highly sensitive to feelings of confinement and there is growing awareness of the need to throw off the “shackles” that keep you in an invisible prison. This has been your condition for awhile, but recently something has ended that allows you to free yourself. Saturn in Sagittarius makes you aware of all the ways you limit yourself through beliefs, rigid mindsets, know-it-all attitudes, and a way of life that has become too routine and too small. It is possible that you will now be tasked with building a new structure for your life. Its foundation must consist of a new set of beliefs, a different, healthier mindset, new habits, and the assurance that you don’t know everything and you don’t need to.
Saturn has just set up residence in your 12th solar house of confinement, hidden things, mysterious forces, loss, sacrifice, and endings. Yippeee! It’s not as bad as it sounds, though. The 12th house is also the house of hidden treasures, artistic inspiration, and the source of your connection with infinite power. I suspect the next two years will, at worst, be a mixed bag for you. Unlike most, you need to relax more, with the possible exception of investigating what feels dishonest or nefarious. It is likely that you will uncover some truth that’s been hidden from you. It has the power to set you free in ways that allow you to be much happier and more effective.
AQUARIUS (January 21-February 21)
Aquarians may be set free this year of the need to rigidly control themselves within their most significant relationships. There has been some distance created between partners over the past couple years, the source of which was unseen – something resembling a hidden fear or dishonesty disguised as kindness that felt justified. Intimacy suffered and sexual expression was less than it could have been. But the ice is thawing and a warm flow is being initiated. Aquarians are reviving a part of themselves that felt like it may have been on the road to extinction. Old relationships are being re-energized and renewed. The distance and disconnection is being bridged, insensitivity and dishonesty is reversing course.
PISCES (February 21-March 21)
This year Pisces might get serious about asserting more authority over the direction of their life. After some initial confusion, they may take steps to free themselves from situations of confinement where their profession and home life is a concern. Pisces now seems motivated not only to find time for artistic expression, to relax more, and to revive some aspect of their work that has lost steam, but to protect or improve their health in some way. Improving self-care is a motivating theme this year. Under too much pressure for too long, Pisces long to get back to a way of life that feels good, allows the love to flow, the caring to surface, and the kindness to soften not only their own life, but the lives of others.
