New Horoscopes for the Week of March 11th – 17th

We’re on the cusp of winding down what we were winding down in January and early February of 1991. Similar themes may be repeated. Astrologically this involves Saturn’s exit from the sign of Capricorn into the sign of Aquarius. Something having to do with your profession/career/or commitments may be losing steam. At the end of a Saturn in Capricorn cycle hard work, inflexible rules, authoritarian approaches, or blind ambition may have taken a toll. Freedom and humanitarian concerns may be the incentive for change. (Saturn officially exits the sign of Capricorn on March 21st).

Mercury in the sign of Aquarius turned direct on Monday of this week. Moving forward/making progress gets easier. Mercury stationing direct on the day of the full Moon brought a backlog of developments to the surface. Something was clarified in a big way.
On Wednesday (March 11th) the Sun in Pisces sextiles Jupiter in Capricorn. This is an opportunity to work on grounding and expanding a healing vision, a practical plan for the future, an organization that supports a self-less cause, etc. Artists, healers, and researchers thrive under this planetary influence.

On Friday, March 13th Chiron squares the North and South Nodes. An old source of vulnerability involves old physical pain or memories of the painful consequences for strongly asserting yourself. A risk that didn’t pan out leaves scars on the heart. We may find ourselves at a crossroads. It’s time to choose between what’s old and familiar and what’s untried but potentially promising.

On Saturday March 14th Mars in hard-working Capricorn sextiles Neptune in the nebulous sign of Pisces. For the ambitious and energetic loss and confusion presents new opportunities to act in an effective, leadership capacity. (Exploitation is darker expression of this aspect).

The Sun in Pisces also sextiles Pluto in Capricorn on Saturday. Soft power, love, and a compassionate approach heals and transforms. Art, artists, and healers exert powerfully persuasive influences.

On Monday, March 16th Mercury enters the sign of Pisces. This relates to the transmission of disease as well as the compassion and confusion associated with communication/connection/access efforts. Connections and signals may be weak and difficult to interpret. Mass confusion, leaking information, and difficulty controlling and organizing information is likely.

Thanks as always for reading,

Holly

ARIES (March 21-April 21)
Mars in the hard working, self-assertive sign of Capricorn sextiles Neptune in the nebulous sign of Pisces. This looks like a loss that opens doors or presents an opportunity – something accidental that turns out to be wildly popular or successful, a dream that begins to look like it has practical possibilities for manifestation. Actions may be softened and anger may be diffused enhancing the possibility that your actions will be welcomed and effective. Vulnerabilities are triggered by the choices being presented. Old memories of courageous self-assertion efforts – or risks that didn’t pan out – may be stuck in the deeper levels of your subconscious mind. You might be tempted to choose something safe and familiar when the more exciting choice would be to go with something that feels right on a gut level. This week your “gut” and natural instincts will steer you in the right direction. The challenge is to trust them.

TAURUS (April 21-May 21)
Below the surface of consciousness something has broken through. Something behind the scenes that has been stuck in neutral for a long time has been released. The door to an invisible “cage” that has kept you confined swings open. You’re now free to attract what you most desire. In fact you’re attraction efforts may be more powerful and effective than ever. Your “luck” may change in a noticeably positive direction. Old, confining, invisible framework that made life difficult has dissolved. Hopefully entrenched memories that caused some pain and vulnerability within the social realms of your life have subsided. You’ll know if that’s the case as you face a decision to move forward into the realm of something promising and deeply satisfying or to stick with the old, the safe, and familiar. What you choose will reveal something important about the extent to which you’ve changed.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21)
Mercury in Pisces moves over your midheaven on Monday, March 16th. This could represent a high point for you. The time is right for you to step forward as an expert and a leader. Events coalesce and play to your strengths. You may at once be the voice of reason and the voice of compassion. A chance to wield your power in ways that are invisible materialize. It’s time to step forward and into the spotlight to share what you’ve learned from direct experience, to connect the dots, to make sense of the confusion. Artistically or stylistically the collective may recognize you as a representation of what they crave now. Preparation meets opportunity. On a more challenging note the need to decide on a direction could trigger old social vulnerabilities related to being separated from your tribe. Trust your gut as you decide which way to go.

CANCER (June 21-July 21)
The North Node – arguably the most beneficial indicator in the astrological world – continues to reside in your 1st (most prominent and powerful) “house” as it has since November of 2018. It is likely you’ve been the recipient of good fortune and the abundant generosity of the universe for about a year and half now. It appears to be in your best interest (especially now) to be as generous and supportive as you can be of those who may be struggling or striving to get to where you already find yourself. Search out more ways to freely give more. As you decide on a future direction old vulnerabilities regarding your role with the public, your ability to succeed, or to lead may emerge. Let your instincts guide you in the direction that feels most enticing.

LEO (July 21-Aug 21)
Today the Sun in Pisces sextiles Jupiter in Capricorn. An opportunity is presented for you to try harder to balance your ambition and need to shine in public realm with something less tangible, more flexible, and potentially more soul satisfying. Leo is a fixed sign. For all his talents he can miss out on a many of the “finer, richer, more subtle and elusive things” life has to offer. This week that could change. It’s time to take advantage of an opportunity to expand your mind to include more than you’ve traditionally allowed. Something freer, less organized, and less certain seems right – food for your most creative inclinations. Deciding on a future directions ignites all kinds of vulnerabilities related to old pain. Most likely it comes from memories of times when your future didn’t go according to plan. Thinking in broader strokes about the nature of your life seems wise. Opening yourself up to different, unfamiliar, (foreign) experiences seems important.

VIRGO (August 21-Sep 21)
The Sun and Neptune in your 7th house of relationships cry out for a soul-to-soul connection with another. Something resembling a fusion of interests, a transcendent kind of bonding, a dissolution of the boundaries that divide and separate. Romance that transports you to an ethereally beautiful place seems nourishing. As Mercury moves into your 7th house next Monday you may mysteriously attract the kind of intimate connections you need. But it’s all more difficult and elusive if you don’t trust yourself, your instincts, and the generosity of the universe to deliver what you need most. This may be challenging as you find yourself at a crossroads – a decision point related to your future direction. Memories of old betrayals could come to life to complicate the issue. We’re back to the importance of trusting yourself and your instincts. That frees you to choose a direction that feels right on a gut instinct level.

LIBRA (September 21 – October 21)
The Sun on Pisces aligned with Neptune introduces into the most meticulous, responsible, competent, discrimminating, mistake-free aspect of your life all kinds of distorting, unfocused, distracting influences that can trip you up. It might be helpful to review what it means to you to make a mistake, to exercise poor judgement, to be incompetent or not up to the task. How do you make this useful? Maybe it involves learning the world doesn’t fall apart despite a lapse in judgement – admitting your mistake, apologizing, putting it in context, and moving on. Maybe it could be one of those “teachable moments” if you choose to make it so. Humility is a gift. It can feel good to be human and to have more compassion for those who like you aren’t perfect. As you struggle with deciding on a future life direction old vulnerabilities are triggered within the realm of relationships. Relationships can be unpredictable. Following your most enticing instinctual leanings seems right.

SCORPIO (October 21 – November 21)
You may feel like you’ve taken enough risk, made enough compromises, and done enough uncomfortable challenging things in your life. That’s almost never the case for Scorpio. There’s always a deeper, riskier layer of pain and possibility that could be uncovered and transformed. You’re probably not done yet and you probably never will be. It may be time to take the next step forward though you might be tempted to talk yourself into the value of sticking with something easy and familiar. The good news is there’s probably no shortage of fear inducing opportunities coming your way. Your vulnerability lies in the area of competence. You may not feel up to the challenge or habitually (and conveniently) underestimate your skills and organizational know-how. You’re at your best when you do what it takes and tell the truth regardless of the cost. This week you may need to decide on a future direction. Pay close attention to your actual motivation – why you’re making the choice you’re making. Acknowledging the true nature of your motivation is the most important thing. It keeps you honest and powerful.

SAGITTARIUS (November 21- December 21)
There’s something vaguely confusing about the nature of your relationship with your home – or with anything settled and permanent. Unlike most you may not crave the security of a home base or a home that provides convenience, comfort, and familiarity. Free and untethered is more your style – maybe. Now you may be somewhat confused. It’s complicated. Still I would predict that by April 12th you might have more clarity about the source of your security and the meaning of home, family, and the past as it relates to you. As you think about future plans and direction and making a decision, an old source of vulnerability is triggered. It’s related to an old wound involving creative (physical) self-expression, your talents, the need to shine, or the desire to compete and win at elite levels. At some point you may have been injured or derailed, humiliated or de-moralized. That memory may still be influential and distorting. Despite inner resistance and inflamed fears it’s time to trust your instincts and your desire for a new challenge. It’s probably time to get back in the game.

CAPRICORN (December 21-January 21)
This week it may be difficult to determine whether something that looks unfortunate actually is. The North node in your 7th house implies an underlying or complimentary fortunate influence. What appears on the surface to not be going according to plan may actually be a gift in disguise. It might take a moment or two to realize how something “bad” could, in retrospect, be facilitating a move in the direction you want to go. The lesson? Things aren’t always as they seem. It might be wise to suspend any judgements about what anything means – in the short run. The Sun, Neptune – and by next Monday Mercury – all in the illusional/delusional sign of Pisces cloud your thinking. But Pisces can leave you open to intuitive insights that are normally imperceptible or lost in translation. This is not a normal week for Capricorn. You may feel off your game. Security issues may be triggered as you face an important decision pertaining to your future.

AQUARIUS (January 21-February 21)
You may be exhausted by or demoralized by something confining, oppressive, increasingly meaningless, or repetitive. The makings of a breakthrough are coalescing beneath the surface of consciousness but they’re not fully in place for another couple weeks. It might be good to begin to separate yourself from unending, meaningless tasks and responsibilities, inner pressures, and the underlying feeling that unless you’re under constant invisible pressures – or feeling afraid – all is not normal in your world. You might not want this kind of pressure anymore. You might want to delegate what you no longer want to do. You might want to clear the decks and make space for the more exciting challenges and freedoms that lie ahead. A vulnerability related to truth telling, communication, mental competence or thinking on your feet is triggered this week. It relates to the pressure you feel to clarify and to decide on a future direction. Follow your heart not your head. It’s more reliable.

PISCES (February 21-March 21)
From now through April 12th you have the advantage of increased, “priority access” to intuitive information, imagination, dreams, and information stored in the deepest recesses of your mind. You could be overwhelmed by it. But it’s more likely that as you indulge your imagination you may begin to see ways to bring into manifestation the dream you love most. Practical opportunities and openings emerge to unite dreams with reality. You may sense that the time could be right to jump on an unusual opportunity and to make something you once assumed was impossible possible. Long shots materialize. You may have more clarity about what’s financially possible by April 12th (Easter). In the meantime as you decide on a future direction – something risky vs. something familiar – old vulnerabilities related to self worth/net worth issues are triggered. Trust your instincts and follow your heart. That’s the least risky, most purely promising choice.
