(Mosaic Art – dark side of the Moon)
This week we’re adjusting to Mars move into the sign of Sagittarius after it’s five month long voyage through deep, dark, Scorpio waters. Now we get impatient to capitalize n the new emotional freedom we’ve earned and translate it into a more exciting and meaningful future.
So we reach beyond the boundaries of what we’ve previously allowed ourselves to experience. This week the urge to experience life directly may overwhelm familiar fears that has always kept us “in line.” Saturn demands expansion into more meaningful achievements. Most likely we have preparatory work to do – maybe in the form of education or breaking free of current circumstances.
On Friday Venus enters Virgo encouraging us to look more closely and more critically at the nature of our relationships, our health, and our current responsibilities. Most likely we’ll find the need for improvement. If we have a clear vision or destination in mind, Venus will assist us in mapping out the details of how to get there. This is a good time to devise a plan that centers around making for room for joy and love. If you’re craving something more exciting, more supportive, friendlier, roomier, or more mentally stimulating, the next three weeks would be the perfect time devise a detailed plan… and to take an important first step.
Basically it seems there’s lots of work ahead. But it may feel more exhilarating, heart-felt and inspired than work you’ve done in the past.
Jupiter in Virgo moves into a tighter quincunx with Uranus in Aries. Aries and Virgo clash and get along with lots adjustment and accommodation.
Uranus in fiery Aries is pissed and wants change “yesterday”. Jupiter in the plodding earth sign of Virgo moves slowly and carefully to ensure that all the details are attended to and the “responsible, adult approach” dominates. Obviously this spells tension.
One interesting aspect this week is the trine between Uranus and Phollus. Phollus is a trans-Neptunian influence that indicates “the lid being blown off”. A trine aspect (120 degrees) is usually interpreted as a harmonious influence. Actually it just removes the roadblocks that keep a static situation in place.
“Static” seems safe when Uranus and Phollus are involved. But this week nothing holds that in place. It will continue to be interesting.
Have a great week and thanks for reading 🙂

ARIES (March 21-April 21)
Aries is done with the need to “dance with darkness” but that’s not to imply that it wasn’t necessary. Having just emerged for an accelerated period of healing you are free to move on to something healthier. You may feel exhilarated, impatient, and in need of more space for quick expansion. You may also feel driven to move into the bright future you’ve always known you were destined to inhabit. Fortunately Saturn will keep you somewhat disciplined and from getting ahead of yourself. On Friday Venus moves into the sign of Virgo. You understand the work that lies ahead and feel it being supported and facilitated in important ways. Venus helps you to let go of meaningless responsibilities, drudgery, and poor health as you replace those with something you love. Essentially you are preparing to step into a higher profile position within the public eye – freshly purged and purified.
TAURUS (April 21-May 21)
Taurus is about to experience a change in focus as Venus moves into your 5th solar house. Now you receive some support and assistance from teachers who can ease your path through relationships, parenting, and choosing a more joyful, less burdensome life. If you feel the need for more control over your future the answer may lie in simply being more receptive to what you haven’t previously been receptive to. Flexibility and maybe allowing yourself to be “fed” rather than the one responsible for all the “feeding” could begin to energize your depleted state. Recognize the teacher when she appears in whatever form she does. All you have to do this week is expect that some sage advice will be laid out in front of you – and take it to heart.
The spiritually or artistically useful foundation you have built is being flooded with new information that may undermine pieces of it. I predict you will respond strongly and reflexively to resist and defend your foundation against whatever that information is. It’s hard to explain but it seems you will, in the process of resisting, generate the heat or pressure needed to to alchemize something of great beauty that will be of great value to you and maybe the world. It becomes a piece of your foundation that could not have been put in place any way other than an assault or challenge to your stability and rootedness. Rather than triggering sickness, fear, obsessive/compulsiveness, guilt, or a perfectionistic trap, it makes you more graceful, flexible, and beautiful. As your foundation becomes more sublime and flexible, it can support more spiritual awareness and artistic inspiration -on top of what’s already there.
This week Venus assists and cajoles you into releasing some life patterns and habits that may be deeply rooted in the past. What you may feel is a heightened awareness of the fact that you have other options and you can choose something different. You can refuse the responsibility of carrying the torch of some misguided lineage of ancestors. In fact you may have the responsibility to break that chain so that no one who comes after you has to be as painfully burdened. With Venus’s help it’s easier than you might think and the time is right. She’ll bring your attention to the ways you harbor negativity particularly about your future and future relationships. It is important to close the door on those who harbor pessimism, those who underestimate you, and those who allow you to indulge in self-pity and self-doubt.
LEO (July 21-Aug 21)
This week your commitment to a deep knowing of yourself, and what works and does not work for you, is your strength. It seems that more of the real you needs to be integrated into the foundations you’ve built for your life and for your career. One consideration is that it may be time for you to let go of the past and the mantel you’ve been carrying for your ancestors and relatives. There is a dark, guilt-ridden, perfectionistic lineage associated with your approach to work, responsibility, and old personal habits, that needs to be broken before it further burdens those who come after you. This week you have the chance to break the bonds that keep you from enjoying your work and your life. Venus’s move into your 2nd solar house shows you that you are deserving of something less punishing while highlighting the resources you have available to break old patterns.
The week (Friday to be exact) Venus moves over your Ascendent and inspires a new beginning within the realm of relationships – your relationships with others and, most importantly, your relationship with yourself. Venus is a kinder, gentler influence that discourages your need for self-punishment and self-sacrifice. In fact she gives you the clear message that you have outgrown, over the past year, the need for such things. You may feel a waning interest in your allegiance to the past and the pain it inflicts, to those who aren’t really there for you, and to settling for something less than you could actually attain. The motivation to to accept responsibilities that depleted you just to see if you could survive them, is dissolving. You can survive this way, but why? You don’t have much left to prove except that you can be receptive to what you truly desire and the things that bring you joy.
Venus is moving into your 12th solar house- the house of endings on Friday. This usually coincides with a very fortunate ending of some kind. What you’re achieving and how you’re building momentum is most likely not the result of working harder, putting in more effort, striving, or struggling. For you now and always life improvements are more the result of letting go, opening up to new possibilities, and being receptive to the help, guidance, and encouragement others generously offer. Chances are you’re quite “lucky” and have always been. For the next three weeks I would advise you to simply let go of the reigns of the responsibilities you no longer wish to sustain and trust that your life will continue to unfold in fortunate ways. When fear sets in don’t indulge it. Channel the energy into gratitude, breathe a sign of relief, and just say thank you.
SCORPIO (October 21 – November 21)
The realm of your life currently being activated is the treasure trove of talents and resources you possess and how you advance you career through the use of those resources. Currently Mars trines your solar midheaven indicating possible, sudden, professional, advancement… or expressions of pride and arrogance that are off-putting and work against you in the long run. Venus’s move into Virgo and into your solar 11th house encourages humility and expressions of appreciation for the support you receive from friends and associates despite the fact that they are delighted and very proud to be associated with you. One more caution. Fight the urge to manipulate from behind the scenes, to be secretly vindictive, or to otherwise use your resource in ways that will not measure up to the high standards of which you are capable. An infusion of bad Karma would interfere with momentum that is now moving you toward a truly joyful existence.
There may be a sense of futility within the realm of your relationships that works in your favor. You may realize that you have little control over others. You can’t fix them and you can’t cure them. It’s now safe and advisable for you to stop up trying. What you’ll soon notice is that the energy you used to expend on others is now available for you. I can pretty much guarantee that this is not going to work out the way you fear it will. Those who are clueless and adrift without you will not sink into more debilitated or impaired states. Instead they will feel the impact of how quickly and energetically you’ve transformed yourself and you life into something more sensually enjoyable than its ever been. The issue is making energy available to yourself – reigniting and enlivening the important parts of you that have lain dormant for awhile – the parts that reconnect you with what you most desire.
CAPRICORN (December 21-January 21)
The week may be filled with revelations about parts of yourself that remain dark, mysterious, compulsive, and inexplicable. It’s your job to expose what lies beneath – but you have to do it indirectly. Fixing emotional states, for example, requires that you work on your physical body. Changing exercise and eating habits, getting regular body work, walking barefoot in the sand, participating in Yoga or Martial arts, enjoying sex, and immersing yourself in the healing world of nature are a few ideas that seem especially important to enact this week. What you can undo within the realm of old psychological conditioning frees you to pursue the very best kind of vision you can imagine for yourself. Venus’s move into your 9th house may present you with a few good options for changing your routine and ultimately your mindset. Pay attention to what is revealed to you about you through some concrete, deliberate change.
AQUARIUS (January 21-February 21)
Aquarius may be on a mission to understand life as it’s actually structured and to develop a more coherent, effective, and uplifting role within that structure. This may involve the self-discipline to unlearn centuries of teachings about the way the world works, but power for that kind of transformation seems to be available to you this week. You may be practicing and experimenting with connections and light, becoming impatient with the imperfect nature of your response and how often you’re able to apply what you know. By the second week in September I predict you will have made some significant progress. I also predict that what will change most positively for you is the nature of your relationship with others and humanity in general. Forgiveness, compassion, and connection may replace your old attempts to separate from what you’ve always found inexcusable. This is a high challenge and a high calling, but who better to lead the way than an Aquarian.
PISCES (February 21-March 21)
Pisces may be dealing with relationship challenges that need to be cleared. There may be growing impatience with powerlessness, dependencies, and the ineffective role you play as you delegate responsibility for your future to a partner, relationship, or the lack of either, in your life. It’s time to stop putting your goals on hold as you wait for the perfect partner or relationship to emerge. This is an old pattern within you that can no longer be sustained. There is now too much energy pouring into the “achievement/recognition” area of your life. You may need to take more responsibility for moving your life in a new direction while releasing your dependence on a partner for support, permission, or assistance. It is possible that your excuse for not being where you want to be is invalid. As Venus moves into your solar 7th house you realize you already have the creative resources you need to get where you want to be.
