Early this morning the Sun moved into the sign of Libra announcing the arrival of the Autumn Equinox. The length of daylight equals the length of nightime, reflecting the balance Libra is known to relentlessly pursue. Summer ends as the nighttime (darkness) begins to outstrip daylight. The Equinox marks a pivotal turning point as we reap what we’ve sown and the Sun (ego) begins to “fall” in the sky. Fundamentally Libra energy generates thoughts and ideas that stimulate action in a new direction. We are unlikely to stay stuck when the Sun transits Libra as it does for the next month.
On Thursday Mars leaves the fiery, wildly creative, impossibly romantic sign of Leo, for more analytical and discriminating Virgo territory. Virgo inevitably has to clean up and reorganize some kind of mess Leo couldn’t be bothered with. She notices the details he misplaced or forgot to include and fixes it. She improves upon his masterwork in some significant way. It is likely you will transition into some similar role, improving upon some masterwork, this week and for the next several weeks.
On Thursday Pluto moves direct after six months in retrograde motion. Highlighted are abuses of power, cover-ups, betrayals, and the moral bankruptcy of industry titans, world leaders, and governmental officials. Evidence of the global breakdown phase is everywhere. On a personal level we may take action to make our impact more powerful. Saturn, Pluto’s ruler, newly in the sign of Sagittarius, encourages open mindedness and the willingness to learn something new from the most effective teacher (Saturn) the world has ever known.
Mercury continues to move in retrograde motion encouraging backtracking and reconsideration with regard to our relationship with information.
And the grand finale is a total full Moon Eclipse on Sunday in the fiery sign of Aries. Expect forceful emotional changes that render an old style and approach to life obsolete. It’s time to clear the air, to defend your space, and to push back on inner and outer adversaries. It’s time for initiating something emotionally risky. It’s time to pivot in a new direction.
Have a great week and thanks for reading,

ARIES (March 21-April 21)
This week you refine the personal skills involved in expessing your wild nature. It seems that you will be improving upon the warmth and love you feel for a partner, despite your continuing reservations and reconsiderations. Moderating your first impulse seems to be the key to continuing the positive tone you’ve set. Tempering the amount of force you use to express yourself is important. This week’s Full Moon Solar Eclipse is a “graded test” that clarifies how far you’ve come and what’s in need of further improvement. Your blind spot will be illuminated. It appears to be the side of yourself that is able to attract rather than demand cooperation. Your thoughts will deepen and you will learn a lot this week, through some unusually strenuous practical experience or heavy responsibility.
Taurus’s current challenge involves opportunities to strengthen their faith in themselves through trusting their instincts. This week you complete some “creative masterwork” that now moves on to a different realm for further refinement and improvement. Your new role this week may be to pick up where you left off before you were distracted from developing your talents, and engaging in a type of service that feels joyful. It’s time for you and for some self-improvement. The kinds of methods you use to improve must be enjoyable and most likely will involve friends and an expanding personal social life. It’s time to reconnect. The Sun in Libra illuminates a time of relative relaxation and responsibilities that feel like fun. Let your instincts guide you. The universe is testing your ability to be highly resourceful in putting to good use some ease, opportunity, and long wished for breakthroughs.
This week the total full Moon eclipse stirs up issues of belonging, the need for an active social life, and friends – possibly old friends. How this aspect of your life is intertwined with your dreams, hopes, and wishers for the future is thrown into the mix. There is some big shift or change implied, some new focus of effort in a new direction. Things heat up as restrictive responsibilities within relationships clash with cherished dreams, hopes, and wishes for your future. A new perspective and a new type of action may be required. Action is also required to reconcile a transformative life event with the need to enthusiastically express your true self. The definition of what constitutes your true self these days is undergoing reconsideration. Things have changed, most likely. If you feel like improving upon your lovemaking skills this is a good time to do it.
You may be thinking about your life direction these day, how you ended up here, and what forces from the past continue to hold sway over your mood and current decisions. One of the better uses of Mercury retrograde is a review of the past to prevent repeating certain parts of it. Saturn in Sagittarius demands more honesty from you regarding how good the good old days actually were. Putting your past into some kind of accurate perspective may be difficult for some reason, especially as you scan through the relationship sector of your life. Painful betrayals within your closest relationships can now be seen for what they were. If you need to fully experience the pain of old memories again this will eclipse will gladly comply. Emotions are stirred in ways that allow you to relive them in a different way If you failed to fiercely fight back against those who underestimated your true worth and value remember that and learn. The good old days that weren’t really that good don’t need to be repeated.
LEO (July 21-Aug 21)
Leos have an obligation to grasp the amazing benefits of a more focused Sagittarian influence. Now in the sign of Saturn, Sagittarius emphasizes perspective and our ability to use it to our advantage. Leos are innately talented when it comes to making life fun mainly because of the kind of perspective they cultivate and where they choose to focus their attention. You are, most likely, consistently alert to opportunities for adventure, fun, laughter, and the chance to turn mundane or difficult situations into something more entertaining. This week I suspect Leos will be in rare form in terms of their ability to capitalize on their unique perspective. Seeing endless opportunities for hilarious misadventures that will add to your repertoire of entertaining stories is likely. This week Leos, like comics, find and abundance of amazing material along the course of their daily routine.
The Sun’s move into the sign of Libra illuminates your 2nd house of money-making and valuable resources. It is likely that you will not only have more energy to address financial issues but also the magic touch of Venus who reliably smooths your path while creating abundance. The eclipse brings even more attention to the need to be free of debt, free of controlling influences with the potential to abuse power, and to trust in yourself to be a great steward of your own financial best interest. It is possible that you will need to change some aspect of your perspective on money in order to be able to pivot in a new direction. It is also possible that you will need to learn more. This is a great time to improve the efficiency of your current approach to life as you essentially solidify the realization of your most cherished dreams.
Libra’s challenge and intent this week may be to keep in-check some primal urges that interfere with the smooth functioning of relationships, especially with children, lovers, or friends. Good luck with that. Mars, the energetic, impulsive force to be reckoned with, enters your solar 12th house where you’ve stored feelings that have the potential to upend relationships and mess with your peace of mind. If you’re honest you’ll acknowledge that like an overfilled storage closet, your 12th house has become a bit of a mess in need of tidying up. With this eclipse you’ll reap what you’ve sown regarding your current style and approach to relationships. Already you might be in the process of reconsidering. The eclipse has the potential to unleash an emotional firestorm. Use the energy to clean out some closets or the garage as you prepare to finally speak your mind.
SCORPIO (October 21 – November 21)
This week Scorpio reaches the end of a year long cycle where it’s time for a rest and some quiet contemplation. Illuminated will be the condition of the deeper emotional aspects of your life. Because the 12th house is mysterious and indirect, an analysis of your health and work life will reflect back to you the relative integrated or disintegrated nature of what’s going on at the deepest levels of your being. This is where you can work some healing magic with yourself and others. The deepest aspects of your being (and other’s beings) are now illuminated in ways that allow you to see what’s usually hidden. Your magnetism attracts those in need of deep healing. As Pluto moves direct you could be very busy attending to those in trouble. Just don’t forget to attend to yourself as well. especially if the eclipse stirs up any health or work issues.
The dirty little secret about Sagittarians is that they have a tendency to avoid commitment, and to wander all over the world in search of something they’ve never bothered to clearly define. But now that Saturn has moved into the sign of Sagittarius, it becomes more difficult for you to get away with this kind of haphazard approach to life – one that short changes your true potential. Now you must tell yourself the truth about what you desire most and stop avoiding the tough decisions that prevent you from achieving it. It is true, though, that decisions hanging in the balance are difficult and tend to involve financial security and relationships. By the second or third week of October you should have the information you need to make a decision that feels right to you. This week you must work to solidify an adventurous vision that feels perfect for you.
CAPRICORN (December 21-January 21)
This week you can take some action to break mysteriously repetitive patterns that appear to lock you into a status of victimization and negativity. Saturn, your chart ruler, is demanding more control over your thought processes and a belief system that is based on accurate information and rational thought. It appears you may be skipping some steps in this regard. There are many approaches to focusing an evasive mind. One is to simply become aware of your thoughts and how you jump from one flawed conclusion to the next when you become anxious. Another is to adjust your perspective so that the meaning you have ascribed to an experience changes. It is likely that you have had thoughts of a kind of life or relationship that is more balanced in some way than your present one. It would be good to meditate on that this week. Any new action you take to focus your mind, will be interpreted as a sign that you’re ready for an assist from the gods. This week that’s likely to happen.
AQUARIUS (January 21-February 21)
You’ve reached a point, probably, where you’re tired of being afraid and the confinement that entails. What would happen if you discovered the kind of information you fear exists. This may relate to your work, your health, or some uncontrollable factor that you fear would would drive your life into the proverbial ditch. You’ve deliberately blinded yourself for long enough. It’s time to face the truth. Chances are it’s all manageable. There is magic in the way you are able to connect with just the right resources at just the right time. And there is magic in the way you are able to soar over what would cause most to crash and burn. The universe is trying to give you what you need. It’s time for you to live your life free of delusions so that you will be able to receive what the universe is offering.
PISCES (February 21-March 21)
This week the Sun’s movement into the sign of Libra amps up your opportunities for cooperative partnerships. This represents a potentially pivotal turning point in taking control of your life. The desire for improving upon the nature of some creative work is appealing. As Mars moves over the horizon, you may be coming into your own in terms of your role in the world, through an opportunity presented by a friend or potential partner. There is a lot of emotion swirling within your world as well as the suggestion of a very difficult decision hanging in the balance. It may involve the loss of something you value. There is more time for consideration, but now is the time to mull it over. I suspect that by the second or third week in October you will have made your decision.
