ARIES (March 21-April 21)
Having almost completely let go of an old way of life, Aries is on the cusp of a new beginning related to work and financial opportunity. You are at a pivotal point when shaping a big, exciting, future, unencumbered by the past, is your work for next couple years. It’s time to take on bigger, bolder projects that free you to infuse your belief system into your work. Each step you take must be carefully thought out and measured in terms of whether it will enhance your freedom and reflect what is most meaningful to you, or diminish it. Communication through speaking, writing, and one-one conversation must serve to advance your social standing as an expert in your field. Manifesting your dreams requires a type of humility that keeps you open to, and on the futuristic edge, of new ideas and methods.
This week Taurus lets go of an old way of relating, saying goodbye to strife, tension, and a failure to reconcile beliefs and approaches to life. As you move on you agree to disagree, let go of your end of the rope in some ongoing tug of war and enter a new stage of work that involves looking in the mirror to discover what’s been standing in your way. The questions you ask yourself become more difficult as you embrace the challenge of gaining full mastery over your life. Problematic may be some deep commitment to suffering, self-sacrifice, self-denial, and the avoidance of actualizing your own dreams for yourself. It may be time for some regressive techniques that move you back to the time when you decided to sacrifice your childhood dreams and to begin to unravel that. Beginning this week any work you do to uproot resistance to the development of your full potential will be richly rewarded.
This week Gemini spends time rethinking, reconsidering, and reviewing the nature of love, decisions about love, happiness, children, and your own creativity. All of this is complicated by the uncertainties of life, big transitions for Gemini, and a new stage of focus and development. More than ever it seems critical for you to embrace the Buddhist principles of detachment as you begin work on a tricky balancing act within relationships. It is necessary over the next two years to learn to cooperate with others on increasingly deeper levels, to compromise whenever possible, to make a habit of creating win/wins, and, most importantly, to not lose yourself in the process. Without the detachment component it could all feel overwhelming. As a natural problem solver it’s good to remind yourself this week that every problem does not need an immediate solution. And sometimes, given a little time, they solve themselves.
Cancers may be rethinking this week all the ways they think with their heart instead of their head when it comes to family and relationships. There is the suggestion that this may be clouding your judgement in some way as you get serious about the kind of future you are creating for yourself. Old habits, methods, and practices that feel familiar may not be the best choices going forward. Shrewd, cautious, well-thought-out methods that protect you, your interests, and your health, seems wise. Humor, as always, can be your friend, but it may feel more difficult to integrate in the future if you don’t make a concerted effort to use it as an effective strategy. You are entering a period of time that requires high levels of efficiency, organization, and discrimination especially within relationships. You cannot afford cloudy thinking through an automatic deference to your empathetic soul.
LEO (July 21-Aug 21)
There is a lot going on for Leo this week. There may be the need to protect your self and your interests through some dramatic displays that you know best how to enact. It’s possible you will need to express your good nature with some underlying hint of intimidation or a “don’t mess with me” message slipped inside a harmless looking envelope. You may suspect that you’re being “worked” in some way, that you cannot trust your business partners, or the nature of an intimate relationship. It is not optional for you to engage in cloudy thinking this week. You have to be a step ahead of everyone else. This week you enter new territory that feels heavy and complicated. It may involve the future of your children, your love life, your ability to enjoy life, and the most central nature of who you are. Creating your future is hard work for the next two and a half years. Your perspective and the way you define your challenges will ultimately determine the outcome.
Recently a turn-of-events that has been “in the making” since since the fall of 2012 may have changed things. Now it’s time to move to a new stage of development that involves constructing a better foundation for yourself. You may relocate and you may not want to. Your house symbolizes your emotional state of being. When Saturn is involved, as it is now, there is the need to grow up emotionally and a move reflects that process. Blaming others for their lack of support is a diversion. There is a new kind of humility required of you that allows you to see where your approach to love and creating an enjoyable life could have benefitted from more flexibility. Agreeing to disagree rather than trying to make yourself right is wise. You need to be energized this week to rethink your priorities, the most efficient use of your resources, and your financial strategies. This is a pivotal turning point in your life.
Libra’s been struggling for a long time, pushing back against resistance at every turn. This week you may come to the conclusion that giving up the struggle is the wiser course of action. If so, use the energy you free up to reconnect with a long lost part of yourself that has been neglected for too long. It’s time for a rest from over thinking, endless problem solving, and the guilt that goes along with not doing it all perfectly. The astrological omens indicate this is a perfect time to recommit (or to commit for the first time) to yourself. Eliminate the distractions by refusing to take responsibility for problems that are not yours. As Saturn moves into your solar third house the stakes are high. The choice seems to be either an encroaching heaviness descending over your mental state or the willingness to be bluntly honest about the ineffectiveness of your current approach and the need for change.
SCORPIO (October 21 – November 21)
Scorpio could “move off the rails” somewhat this week, passing through a metaphorical torrential rainstorm, but basking in the power of this period to move them back into the dangers of living life on the edge – their most preferred place to reside. There may be some depression, some life or death struggle that pushes you back into the intensity you crave and causes you to continue to complicate situations that don’t have to be. The planets are pushing you back to this place now. If you were any other sign I would try to come up with some recommendations for relief. But I don’t think that’s what you need or want. What I wish for you is summarized in the Brandi Carlile lyrics from “The Eye.” Here’s a link if you want to listen http://www.npr.org/sections/therecord/2014/12/16/371064979/listen-to-the-eye-a-new-song-by-brandi-carlile
This week is a period of suspension – hanging between two worlds, soaking up perspectives that are different and possibly unusually enlightening. You have free access, for a short period of time, to the mysteries of the world and the mysteries within yourself. If you want answers just ask and wait. The most important thing is that you view this week from a perspective that is potentially beneficial rather than frustrating. How you define your current situation determines where you go from here – or if you go anyplace. Saturn is on the cusp on moving into your sign as you get serious about your future. It’s time to embrace a concerted effort to move yourself into a future that is more meaningful to you. It’s all about perspective. If you’ve been spending your time “cursing the darkness” consider suspending that. Meditating on the tarot “Hanged Man” or standing on your head could precipitate breakthroughs.
CAPRICORN (December 21-January 21)
Connecting with the softer side of you is important this week. A new commitment to a different way of relating to others requires a different kind of relationship with yourself – one that takes into consideration the possibility that being your own “slave driver” and assuming this gives you the right to expect from others what you expect from yourself, may no longer serve you well. Capricorn may be feeling like they are sacrificing a lot at the moment with too little to show for it and that the future is one big question mark despite their best efforts. Capricorn’s default setting is always to work harder. But as Saturn transits into your solar 12th house the rules of the game for you are changing. What might now work best now is cooperating with those who are trying to cooperate with you, even if they’re not as accomplished or driven, forgiving those who have hurt you, opening your heart to a more compassionate approach, and joining the human race by throwing overboard any arrogant assumptions of entitlement or privilege.
AQUARIUS (January 21-February 21)
Aquarius has recently been freed of some particularly painful ancient Karma. Being in your skin may actually feel different. Old habits that allowed you to adapt to heavy burdens you carried for so long need to be identified and released. Like a prisoner freed after many years of confinement it’s a joyful relief, but there’s work to be done to undo what’s not longer necessary. Adapting to a new lightness that feels unfamiliar takes some effort. Paying attention to details seems important this week. Notice if you automatically assume that something will be difficult when it no longer has to be, if you needlessly complicate things or steer clear of bigger aspirations for yourself, choose to box yourself in, or fail to expect that what you most desire may be easy to attain. Your future is different because your past has changed. A whole new skill set and a willingness to change old beliefs is required.
PISCES (February 21-March 21)
Pisces may be feeling a sense of urgency regarding the need to master an aspect of themselves that’s been “out of control” leaving them feeling powerless. You may have felt you were making progress dealing with old ghosts and levels of anxiety that keep you isolated and afraid. Now you may be feeling frustrated by a “relapse” that makes you wonder if you’ve made any progress at all over the past 19 months. Most likely you’ve come a long way toward a higher state of self-mastery. Confidence is returning but there may be a step you’ve missed that requires some backtracking. This week represents a time when you have to dive head first into the bone-chillingly cold swimming pool you’ve been avoiding. Once you get over the initial shock and into the flow of it you’ll be surprised by how invigorated you feel. The issue is embracing the uncertain nature of life, courage, and the truth about you.
