Horoscopes for the Week of November 5th – 11th

Larissa Strauss “Mosaic Landscape”

This week I’m using the Taurus Full Moon Chart to write horoscopes and will clarify its influence for each sign. The full moon culminates on Thursday, Nov. 6th at 14 degrees of Taurus highlighting a return to something less sophisticated and civilized, something simpler, something more instinctual, sensual and non-intellectual. Survival issues take center stage. Money, and resource management may be highlighted. Tradition may be preferred, stubbornness may be a tactic, healing through contact with the natural world, or “healing the earth” issues could take center stage.

Venus in Scorpio continues to intensify and complicate (and heal) relationships by bringing toxic stuff to the surface. Jupiter just wants to have fun, to extend the party, and to revel in its own talented and highly entertaining wonderfulness. Venus and Jupiter are headed for a clash this weekend that may require some kind of new accommodation.

Mercury moves into the sign of Scorpio on Saturday.  On Monday it returns to the exact position where it first turned retrograde back on October 4th.  Whatever you were not quite ready to discuss, to decide, to address, or to accept at that time is now back on the table. Whatever was brought to a screeching halt back then is now primed for some rapid forward progress. New developments may change the nature of your work.

And finally, Mars moves into Pluto’s territory riling him up in ways that could translate into obsessive compulsiveness, the impulse to dominate, to be ruthlessly ambitious, or to enact revenge.  Uranus, the freedom fighter, rebels strongly in unexpected ways. It’s all very intense and interesting, (and potentially devastating), playing out on the global stage, but also within, as we seek to break through old, persistent barriers that limit options and the development of our true potential.

This week energies facilitate release of the old and to clear the slate for something new and expansive. What that is is yet to be determined.

Thanks for reading,

Holly

ARIES (March 21-April 21)
Aries is dead serious this week as he moves in for the kill, so to speak.  Expect some push back as you strive to accomplish something difficult that re-instates you into a position of power.  Most likely this will involve your career/ home life, and/or life direction.  There is an element of impatient impulsiveness that threatens to throw you off your game. Anticipating long term consequences keeps you focused. The full Moon in your 2nd house brings an end to old priorities, old ways of allocating resources, managing finances, as well as issues of who can be trusted. Relationships reach a turning point as thoughts intensify in the direction of wielding more power, stabilization, uncovering what is hidden, and breaking through old psychological conditioning.  Old alliances and financial limitations dissolve making way for what frees you to expand, to live your beliefs, and to preserve what is most meaningful. Your life may feel like a minefield. Safe passage requires a disciplined approach to addressing just the basics, keeping it simple, and resisting needless complications.

TAURUS (April 21-May 21)
Taurus faces a turning point involving their style and approach in relationships. It may be that a significant other is primed to release the past, along with old habits that make him or her resistant to compromise. Or it may be you who is more conscious of how hidden emotions negatively affect relationships. There may be a slow growing awareness of the need to make decisions that conflict with your ability to enjoy life in the short term, the interests of your children, lover, or creative expressions. By the weekend relationships will challenge you to acknowledge the influence of something secret, yet powerful, that keeps you mired in old patterns. This week is an opportunity to change the game, to shake things up, to throw the chess board up in the air and to start over. It’s time to say something incisive and truthful. It’s time to listen to what you haven’t been willing to hear. It’s time to rewrite the rules and to take advantage of the final phase of an opportunity to make things right.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21)
This week Gemini is highly attuned to their deepest, most secretive appetite for something richer and more satisfying.  This may involve something primitive and sexual, something intense that deeply connects you with your source of healing power. The full Moon in Taurus pulls you back into something simpler, something basic and life-giving that is your lifeline and your key to survival. As Mercury finishes it’s trek through the expressive, joy-filled, loving and child-like realm of life, it’s time for some purification that involves a deeper level of communication. What comes next determines the chances of the survival of all that has been set in motion since the beginning of September. Now is the time for hard work, a greater sense of responsibility, deeper examination, and testing the ability of a lover, child, (child within) or creative endeavor to survive in some very deep, treacherous waters. It’s time to purify and solidify the love, joy, and expressiveness that have been developing since the beginning of September.

CANCER (June 21-July 21)
Always highly sensitive to lunar activity, Cancers may be feeling as though they have completed a creative project, ended a love affair, released a child, or simplified in ways that purged some entrenched friendships and old group affiliations. There may be feelings of exhaustion or of being “wiped out” as something culminates and comes to an end. Whatever has been brewing for the past couple weeks has taken an emotional toll, forcing you to come to terms with how much things have changed, how much is passing away, old friends, childhood memories, or feelings of disorientation related to where you belong and your changing role. At this full Moon there is the implication that something about your childhood can be very stabilizing and clarifying in ways that keep you connected to what it is you value most. Reflections of childhood give you insights into how to keep it simple, how to focus on the basics, how to find your way in the ever-changing adult world, and how to strengthen your most natural way of being.

LEO (July 21-August 21)
Leos may be coming to the end of a structured career situation that has kept them somewhat stabilized through a series of massive emotional changes related to home and family. Dissolving is an old structure that provided challenging goals, the need to put emotions on the back burner, to simplify in order to succeed, and to present an air of authority. Now things may be different as you clear the decks for something new. Your father and old authority figures are highlighted and their influence on you is ripe for healing. It is important to focus on how your public role has been shaped, for good or bad, in response to your impressions of your dad, his definitions of success, the importance of hard work, and keeping your emotions under control. It’s time to set yourself free for the sake of yourself and your family. The planets are helping now to move you in a new direction that is more self-directed and less confined to automatic responses and deeply ingrained conditioning. Opening yourself to a new kind of approach to your professional role is the opportunity this week.  The key is a new perspective purged of every element that reflects someone other than you.

VIRGO (August 21-September 21)

Virgos get down to the basics this week of what they believe. It may be worth it to spend some time clarifying what is is you believe about your life, what you deserve, and what it is that gives your life meaning. Often what you’re thinking throws you into a complicated maze of confusion, but knowing what you believe has the power to cut to the chase, to reorder your priorities, to understand what you value most, and how to use your resources in ways that make you the most happy and satisfied. Mercury is getting ready to move into your 3rd house of communication where thoughts can veer off into extremes of obsessive compulsiveness. Over the next few days you may face the need to make decisions related to your survival and your happiness. Communing with nature, sitting under a tree, and letting the earth absorb any inner emotional chaos puts you in a good position to make decisions that align you more closely with what it is you truly believe.

LIBRA (September 21-October 21)

This week the Full Moon culminates in Libra’s solar 8th house, the most sensitive minefield of power, control, trust sex, and intimacy. It appears that you are reaping an abundant harvest in this area of life as the result of your ability to navigate with great dignity and sophistication through an area of life that brings out the worst in most of us. Applying that same ability as you deal with currently ignited old issues of abuse in friendships, jealousy, and feelings of rejection is advised. This week you may have to take some action while powerful, difficult to control instincts emerge. Self discipline, realistic expectations, and the desire to break through set patterns that fuel emotional cravings enhance your ability to feel joyful and expansive where friendships and a secure sense of belonging need to be developed.

SCORPIO (October 21-November 21)

This Week the Full Moon culminates in your 7th solar house of relationships making your most significant relationship, and your partner specifically, an especially accurate reflection of what you don’t see in yourself. This is most likely a mixed picture. Being reflected back to you this week is a refreshing naturalness, powerful instincts, the ability to simplify, to boil it all down to what is essential, and to create tranquil and quiet centering amidst a sea of complicated, turbulent emotions. And then there is the other side – the stubbornness, the truculence, the laziness, the raw, uncivilized instinctive responses, the over-simplification, cravings for material security, focus on the physical, and refusal to budge, even just a little, to make things a little easier. For you this is an instructive Full Moon, clarifying, through another, what you could release to make things just a little easier for yourself and for the health of your relationships.

SAGITTARIUS (November 21- December 21)

For Sagittarians the Full Moon falls in their 6th solar house of work, responsibility, integration, and purification. Highlighted is the need to simplify, to release everything extraneous, to get back to basics, to follow your instincts, and to do what comes naturally. There is the suggestion that over time, you have introduced elements into your work methods that are not your own, and that you have accumulated and diversified to the point of diluting your impact. Spending some time in a natural setting, sitting under a tree, or walking on the beach, allows the earth to absorb what is extraneous, stress producing, and not a pure reflection of the most natural you. Nature can also provide a chance to relax and to fully appreciate the fruits of your labor, something you may be neglecting that could greatly influence your work in a positive direction.

CAPRICORN (December 21-January 21)

Even though you’re a Capricorn, born to work and to drive yourself mercilessly, highlighted now is how much you enjoy relaxing in a natural settings, tending to a gardens, beautifying, relaxing, and socializing with friends. What seems to be peaking now is a desire for community or political involvement, particularly as you find yourself in a position of being able to wield more power and control. What seems to be driving you is a very pure motivation that simply wants to create and build for others the kind of community that protects the type of environment that has always brought you the most joy. Over the next few weeks you may focus on collecting information that would give you clues and opportunities to figure out how to play your most natural leadership position, and to wield power in ways that benefit friends, associates, groups, and communities.

AQUARIUS (January 21-February 21)
This week Aquarians are faced with a dawning awareness of how complicated their efforts have become to enhance their reputation, solidify their authority, lead within their area of expertise, and provide the public with some deeply transformative experience. As the full Moon culminates in their 4th house of their roots, home, and family, Aquarians are being urged to get back to basics and to rebuild the foundations of their professional life on something that more accurately reflects who they are. From a practical standpoint it may be necessary to get back to your roots – your archaic roots. It may be time to commune with nature, to reawaken your senses, to feel your bare feet on the ground, to hear the wind rustling through the trees, to smell the freshness, and to focus your eyes on some naturally beautiful setting for awhile. This is a very different experience for an Aquarian who lives mostly within the world of thought, but a very healing one that can shift your professional life into something more powerful and enjoyable.

pisces otherworldly

PISCES (February 21-March 21)
Pisces experience this full Moon within the realm of communication, thought, and ideas. Paperwork and simplifying something that is essentially very complicated may be an issue. Getting to the heart of what it is you want to say, simplifying a difficult conversation, or forming ideas that feel clear enough solidify into something real, may leave you feeling more wiped out and exhausted than satisfied. What may complicate things this week is some fear of rejection by friends, groups, or a community that tends to be very demanding, difficult, critical of “holes in theories” or beliefs that don’t match their own. It’s difficult to be all things to all people. What’s most important is that you express the most authentic version of who you are, what you think, and what you believe. You have no control or responsibility beyond that.
